| Neck is ColdI was wearing my scarf when I left the house. I went to the mall, walked into three stores, and left the mall scarf-less. I called all three stores. No one turned in my scarf. Would a customer take something from a store if it wasn't tagged? Would an employee steal my scarf? Is it possible that they just don't clean very well and have yet to find it? I don't understand! I vow to purchase only cheap winter accessories. It is a sad, sad day for my neck and pocketbook. ETA: The wonderful folks at Anth*p*l*g** have found and returned my scarf. I will shop there faithfully... | | |
| Summer? What Summer?I've been asked if I have a Facebook many many times by many many people. The answer is no. Is anyone still on Xanga these days? In two days the summer will officially end. I don't remember it ever beginning. All summer, I've been living in this rectangular bubble known as corporate headquarters with my laptop chained to my wrists, at the beck and call of the evil but ever present bad guys known as consultants. Boo. (FYI to bad guys known as consultants: you don't make friends by calling clients at 11pm on Friday night and then again at 6am the next morning, especially after the client has told you that her house has no power and is flooding). So now that I have a little bit of free time, I find myself researching trips to Cancun and London and feeling guilty about not studying for the GMATs. I have many steps left in rejoining my prior life: attending SG on a regular basis, doing Sound/Production team, having dinner w/ my family once in a while, remembering that I had a birthday somewhere in there and I'm no longer 'young', shopping for cute baby clothes for S & N... Wow, I really want a HUGE bag of caramel/cheese porpcorn mix from Garrett's. And a Diet Coke. | | |
| 5/24-7/9: not an interesting title at all - Had two wisdom teeth extracted - successful, except for the drug mishap which had me flying high on narcotics instead of the antibiotics I was supposed to be on. Boo Walgreens (sorry, Rachel & Esther) - A Tuesday evening Cubs game with three fabulous friends at the friendly confines
- A lot of talking about studying for the GMATs, but very little actual studying for the GMATs (typical)
- San Diego: beautiful city with lots of sun = major sunburn and two weeks of peeling - Some great visits with the family in the South suburbs...
11am Sat, 7/7 – dyed my hair red 1pm Sat, 7/7 – regret sets in… got black lowlights to hide some of the red 3pm, Sun 7/8 – utter panic… had brown toner deposited all over my hair to hide the red & black And you think *you* have bad hair days?!! | | |
| Big Bro Noah and Baby Sis NanaMy niece Shayna was born this morning weighing in at a healthy 8 pounds... we Yi's tend to be big babies! She's got silky brown hair, a cute little nose and she sighs in her sleep. Shayna looks a lot like Noah as a newborn, only a lot 'softer'. She's absolutely beautiful. I said to Noah, "say hi to your sister Shayna" -- "bye bye Nana!" We'll work on it... | | |
| Food is all the sameTalking to mi madre yesterday and she was saying she doesn't understand the concept of dessert. I don't understand why some people eat dessert after dinner! Why don't they just eat more dinner? Because some people want something sweet after eating something salty. Then why don't they eat something sweet for dinner? Because you're not supposed to eat something sweet for dinner, that's against the rules. What rules? Who made up these rules? I don't like those rules... So if I wanted to eat chocolate for breakfast, I should be able to do that? Yes. But then if you do that everyday you'll get fat. Do people do that? That's why America is so fat... Can't really fault her reasoning. | | |
